So, you are getting into triathlons? Now you may be asking yourself how should I train? Should I self-coach? Should I get a pre-written plan or invest in a 1:1 coach? There are many options to choose from and I felt as if I could give you all my thoughts on this subject.

So, I have now been in Korea for one month and I have actually learned a bit about myself as an athlete. The main thing I learned is that I am less stuck in my ways than I originally thought I was.
Well y'all, honestly I can say that I'm super on top of this. I've put in some hard hours, and plan to be aggressive on the forecheck and dig deep in those corners. Also it's just swimming, biking and running, so you know, no big deal....
The 5k is known to most as the gateway race, often leading you onto longer harder faster stronger races, like it did for me. As the endurance community continues to grow, more and more people are discovering just how awesome this sport can be. To train all you need is a pair shoes, maybe some sweet short shorts, matching unicorn shirt, followed up by the will to get outside and go.
Running is also the culprit for A LOT of injuries for athletes and non-athletes alike. In fact, the number of injured runners a year is estimated to be about 80%, a number that has been consistently high since 1970. INSANE! Buuuutttttttt......I'm willing to bet we've all been there.
With 2017 firmly underway, I have been painstakingly attempting to finalize some race and health goals this year. OK. Who am I kidding, I've been procrastinating like crazy.
I’ve never really been a planner or, come to think of it, someone who really did the whole “goal” thing – think about it, write it down, execute, blah blah blah blah.
I'm sure if you're reading this it is likely because you're looking to get me a gift for some reason .... well I'm sorry to disappoint you but I have all the recommendations below. IF, for some reason there is another triathlete on your gifting list, I hope something here catches your eye.
The following are my 5 favorite, triathlon related purchases in 2016.
Traveling with a bike can be incredibly stressful. I mean, it is no secret that I love my bike. It is my baby, likely to be my only ever. Imagining it being tossed around by careless airport luggage handlers actually sends shivers down my spine. In part one of my travelling triathlete gear review, I looked at a great bag to ensure your gear arrives safely and soundly to wherever you may be heading - the Ogio 9.0 Duffel.
As I prepare my Ironman Cozumel Race Report, I thought I'd take a little break from that post and give an update on a previous post about predicting your Triathlon Bike Leg using Best Bike Split My prediction was pretty close for Ironman Victoria 70.3, so how did it stack up as a predictive measure for my latest race?
